Stainless Steel Exhaust Muffler for VIOT and Other Brand/Models of Vacuum Pumps;

Why this is needed: Every rotary vane vacuum pump has an unintentional byproduct: Oil mist. Because the vacuum pump oil is a volatile liquid, when it lubricate the moving parts, and the moving parts will move part of the lubricant out in the exhaust stream. If the pump is used out door air, you may not feel the oil, but if you are using the vacuum pump in a closed space, the room may get "smoky" after operating the pump for a while. Faster the air passing through the pump, more oil mist is likely to come out of the muffler, higher the vacuum level, lesser the air flow, but faster the evaporation, which will cause greasy air too. This muffler is designed and used to ease this problem.

How it is connected: this muffler come with a 3/4 inch pipe thread(NPT). So it can be used to any pump that has the same sized thread for muffler connection. (This 3/4 NPT connecting thread is is about the similar size as 25 mm thread and can be used in pumps with 25 mm exhaust connection).

This will fit these models of pumps in our inventory or sold by VIOT Brand name: VPD12, VPDS12, VPD6, VPDS6. VPD2, VPDS3. Or you may use this muffler if you have an adapter to this size: 3/4 inch NPT or 25 mm metric thread.
